Fall Winter 10/11

For the fourth collection of the label (fall/winter 2010-2011), Kim Bakker was inspired by the most southern extremity of Earths axis.
In this place of eternal winter, Roald Amundsen, accompanied by six travel companions and 16 husky's,
was in 1911 the first man to reach the heart of the South pole.
A voyage through a white geometrical landscape that stood in sharp contrast with the dirty brown rocks.
Based on these imaginative travels, Bakker formed a whole new civilisation which lives in the midst of the pole. A fusion was created between the waxed cotton coats as Amundsen used to wear,
refined Norwegian knits and the stylised ethnic costumes of the native people.
This time NŌN by KIM will bring her highly regarded skill of the clean draped silhouette in contrast with forms inspired by geometry and folklore.
